International Skinny Dip Day is celebrated annually on the second Saturday in July.
Skinny Dip Saturday July 12, 2025:
The sign-up this year was 189, beating last year’s count of 138. We had some distant thunder and about five minutes of light rain during the Midnight Blue performance before the 2 pm photo, but the weather cleared for the dip. Thanks to all who came to join in, to our sign-up volunteers, and to photographer/videographer John Myers.
The event began in 2008 when the American Association for Nude Recreation set a Guinness World Record of 13,674 persons skinny-dipping at the same time at multiple venues. See the record. (Since then, no attempt has been made to formally create a new record.) The 2nd Saturday in July has however been named International Skinny-Dip Day, as the culmination of National Nude Recreation Week.
