Recreation Facilities
Our 60 foot x 30 foot pool offers a view of Como Lake, and is heated to 83 degrees when it’s cooler. The pool is lighted at night and is open 24 hours a day, for a relaxing dip or swim anytime you’re in the mood. Poolside live music is featured noon to 3 pm most Sundays from February through November. .The pool has a hydraulic chair lift to aid guests with mobility issues.
The Bare Buns Cafe, adjacent to the pool deck, offers a breakfast, lunch & dinner menu, and serves beer, wine & spirits. Dine in the air-conditioned inside dining room, or on the screened patio overlooking Como Lake. Cafe hours, menu & specials
Our large screened whirlpool hot tub is open 23.5 hours every day. (It is closed from 6:30 am to 7:00 am for daily cleaning.)
Our sauna, which is available for use 24 hours daily, is located 90 feet from the hot tub.
Lake Como’s World-famous Butt Hutt bar is the place for socializing, playing a game of darts or cornhole, or watching sports on TV. The bar offers a variety of draft beers, canned beer, wine & spirits . More Butt Hutt info
The Butt Hutt deck overlooking Como Lake is our venue for year-round live music on Saturday nights, and karaoke Thursday & Sunday nights…plus seasonal entertainment such as Friday night Trivia or Open Mic. See entertainment schedule
Nature Preserve: Lake Como has 111 acres of designated wetland and woodland, with an extensive network of volunteer-maintained nature trails, mostly under canopies of cypress and pine, offering many quiet places to explore, birdwatch or unwind. Nature Preserve map & info
Five Har-Tru clay tennis courts are the highlight of Lake Como’s West Grove Sport Center. The courts are groomed weekly, and one court is lighted for nighttime play. The tennis pavilion features a covered area with tables and chairs on the lower level for relaxing and socializing between sets, plus an elevated observation deck. Tournament info
Fitness Center: Lake Como’s new gym building is located in the West Grove and is equipped with a full range of exercise equipment. Restrooms and showers are conveniently located just outside the fitness center building.
Volleyball: Lake Como’s West Grove Sport Center is the nudist volleyball capital of the south, featuring 2 sand volleyball courts and 12 grass courts. Our Super Bowl South 10-day tournament is held in March, in addition to smaller tournaments. Tournament Info
Golf: Lake Como’s West Grove Sport Center includes a golf driving range and and two 9-hole chip & putt courses.
Lake Como’s Sandy Beach is a short 500 foot walk from the pool deck and affords a quiet place for sunbathing, plus courts for pickleball, shuffleboard, horseshoes, & petanque, a basketball hoop, and a children’s play area…plus pedal boats & kayaks for use by guests.
Boating: We offer 2 pedal boats that will seat 4 persons, and 4 kayaks (1 is a 2-person kayak) for our guests to enjoy 35 acre Como Lake. Life preservers are located under the beach tiki hut. We also have a boat ramp to launch your own small sailboat or other water craft. (Please note however we do not permit jet skis or similar water craft, or water skiing, and there is a 15 mph speed limit.)

Lake Como’s pool hall provides two Brunswick billiards tables.
Lake Como’s Recreation Hall (Clubhouse) is home to many indoor activities, ranging from table tennis to yoga to bingo. See Activities page.
The rec hall also houses our library offering the free loan of books to members and guests.
