- Sunday Feb. 23rd Just Married will be performing on the meadow stage outside the rec hall starting at 3:30 pm (a half hour after the poolside performance of the EQ Band). There will be a small number of chairs on the lawn in front of the stage, so you are invited to bring your own folding chairs to the front near the stage, or park your golf carts toward the back. (In the event of rain, the performance will move into the rec hall.)
- Friday Feb. 28 Just Married will do an encore performance on the Butt Hutt deck starting 8:00 pm.

We still have some vacant volunteer slots for Super Bowl South March 7-16. There is a sign-up sheet in the office, or email volleyballcomo@gmail.com

We hope everyone enjoyed the great comedy of Max Dolcelli Friday, kicking off our Valentine Weekend activities. Before Max, Reid and Margaret hosted the last Open Mic of the season. (The Wednesday Song Circle in the North Grove will continue through the end of March. Trivia continues the first and third Fridays through May 2nd. )
The weather cooperated for our outdoor events, at least until Sunday afternoon. More than a dozen artists participated in the Art on the Fence show Saturday. Thanks to Mun for suggesting and organizing this. (Ree provided the art montage above.)
Thanks to Deb and Tammy for organizing the Poker Run on Sunday, and to the location hosts. The winners were announced poolside during a music break by the Nunes at Night band. First and second place split the entry fee pot 75/25: both had a hand of four aces, the winner being determined by high fifth card! And thanks to Roger and his volunteers for cooking up burgers and hot dogs on the grill. The rain finally arrived around 2:30 pm, emptying out the pool deck.
The Bare Buns Cafe was also busy during the weekend, with many taking advantage of the menu specials – the free drink offerings may have also been an additional incentive.
Next week be sure to catch one of the performances by the Just Married Band. This couple from France performed here two years ago to great acclaim.
We’re now gearing up for some big events in the next few months, including the King & Queen Mixed Doubles Tennis Tournament, Super Bowl South Volleyball Tournament, Dare to Go Bare Run, and the Naked Arts and Music Burn Festival.

FREE BODY ARTS: Henna & Alcohol Tattoos
Hello! I’m Mun, a Como snowbird RV resident who enjoys doing temporary body art tattoos. I have henna, which dries on your skin in about two hours; washing it off leaves an orange stain, which turns brown the next day – it fades completely after about three weeks. I also have several colors of alcohol ink, which dries instantly and lasts up to three days. I do this only for fun, not for money. Contact me at 215-720-9404 – or, if you see me dragging my wagon behind me at the pool or elsewhere, and I would be so happy to give you the art you want. I can also do private sessions if you’re shy.

The Lake Como Yacht Club invites all boat owners to a grand regatta every Sunday at 2 pm, weather permitting. Passage for land-lubbers may be available from some boat captains at the floating dock.
