REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN FOR THE 2025 EVENT!
Experience the freedom of running au naturel through the 200 acres of Lake Como Resort. The run registration fee includes use of all resort facilities the rest of the day. Each runner is allowed to bring in 1 person not running without additional charge.
- Check-in: 7:30 to 8:45 am
- 5K run starts 9:00 am
- 2K walk starts 10:00 am
- Awards ceremony 11:00 am
Advance online registration is required for all runners & walkers. Registration allows participation in the run, the walk, or both. The registration deadline is midnight Sunday April 6, 2025..There will be no walk-in registrations.
Registration prerequisite: Lake Como is a safe space, and a DataSource background check is required of all guests. Please call the Lake Como office at 813-949-1810 ext. 0 (7 days a week from 10 am to 6 pm) to obtain Background Check File Number for each attendee, a required entry on the registration form.
No photography: We will not be photographing this year’s run, and no photography by event participants or guests will be allowed.
AWARDS: 5K medals 3 deep men’s & women’s in seven age groups ♦ 2K walk medals overall only (no age groups) 3 deep men’s & women’s
TEE SHIRTS: We’re ordering tee shirts on 3/16, based on registrations to that date, and an estimate of registrations after that date. So, if you register after 3/16 it’s possible you may not get a shirt if attendance is higher than we estimate.
Please note if using the resort facilities that Nudity is mandatory in the pool, hot tub and sauna, and is encourged and allowed throughout the resort grounds.

Enjoy poolside live music noon to 3 pm.
Bare Buns Cafe open 9 am to 8 pm.
Water volleyball at 3 pm

$40 to 3/16/25 – $50 from 3/17/25 to 4/6/25 deadline.
LAKE COMO RESIDENTS & LAKE COMO RESORT MEMBERS ONLY::
$20 to 3/16/25 – $25 to 3/17/25 deadline.
163 registered for the 30th annual Dare to Go Bare held Sunday April 14, 2024. Registrant ages ranged from 15 to 81. The best men’s time was 22:02 and the best women’s time was 25:39. Around 40 participated in the 2K walk. Many participants stayed after the run to enjoy the poolside music and food at the Bare Buns Cafe. Thanks to the many volunteers who made this event a success.
2024 Courses: The run course is about 50% pavement and 50% nature preserve trail. Walk course is 100% on pavement.
